Developers and new businesses still have an opportunity to get into a prime businesses location in Monte Vista.
The property, located at 117 Adams in Monte Vista needs some work, but the location is excellent and right in the heart of the re-vitalizing downtown area. The Monte Vista Urban Renewal Authority (MVURA) owns the building and is looking for partners to get the location back on its feet.
To get this accomplished, the MVURA is seeking responses to a Request for Proposals (RFP) to develop a partnership with interested individuals, firms or companies who can develop and execute a business plan and associated improvements on the property resulting in measurable economic development results in Monte Vista. The ideal proposal would establish a new business tenant who creates measurable economic development benefits, stimulates growth and business development for the downtown area and results in a business generating additional sales and property taxes.
The RFP is currently open and all proposals are due by the close of business on November 30, 2018. Proposals will be reviewed by the MVURA and ensure all proposals fulfill project objectives and provide adequate information consistent with the RFP and submission requirements.
For more information or a copy of this RFP, please contact Forrest Neuerburg, Monte Vista City Manager at 719 852-8289 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Inspections and site visits may be requested through the city manager.
