- The top candidates are interviewed. Depending upon the job classification, the candidate or candidates who are selected from the interview are offered conditional employment upon passing the following a medical examination, drug screen and CBI background check.
Deputy City Clerk
The City of Monte Vista is accepting applications for the position of Deputy City Clerk. The successful candidate will perform professional, administrative, clerical and technical services for the City Clerk. This position is responsible for the maintenance and retrieval of official City records, including but not limited to City legislative meetings, licenses, contracts and other official City records. The successful candidate will also assist in the daily operations of the City’s municipal court, assist with, supervises, and/or schedules arraignments, sets court calendars and receives and manages cash transactions including fines, court fees, restitution and bonds.

Police Officer II
City of Monte Vista is seeking qualified applicants for position of Police Officer II. Applicants must be POST certified as a Colorado Police Officer. One year of previous law enforcement experience preferred. Selected applicants must be able to pass a physical, physiological evaluation, pre-employment drug test and extensive background check.
